Photopneumatic therapy The most common pigment spots that appear over time are brown spots related to sun exposure. In just two or three sessions, these spots can be removed entirely or dramatically lightened. Theses treatments do lead to a low level of crusting or flaking as the spot is shed, but no scarring or actual healing time is involved. Redness related to rosacea or sun exposure can be lessened over the course of about four treatments with this technique. Laser Therapy The 1064 nm laser excels at reducing capillary redness from any area of the skin. The same treatment settings effect skin smoothing as well, so reduced redness and smoother skin with 5 painless sessions is obtainable. And, the results should be lasting. This treatment also can quickly eliminate small red spots (cherry angiomas) and be used to remove red skin patches known as “port-wine stains”. |
