Photopneumatic therapy

An exciting development in light-based therapy pristine conditions is the use of photopneumatic therapy for reduction of dark hair.  While other hair removal techniques are painful there is very little to no pain associated with this method of hair reduction.  The application of suction and light simultaneously allows the hair follicles to be raised to a higher level of the skin and allows light pulses to be more effective at destroying the follicle.  While light-based removal of hair only works on pigmented or dark colored hairs, therapies are effective on any type of skin color and will even treat ingrown hairs or hair growth in areas that are usually too sensitive for hair removal. Permanent reduction of hair growth can be obtained and should be a lasting effect. 

Laser therapy 

There are areas where laser hair removal is effective where a photopneumatic therapy is not for a variety of reasons.  Hair removal by laser also works only on pigmented hairs and is moderately painful, but effective.  Compared to waxing or electrolysis, laser hair reduction is durable and generally less uncomfortable to complete.
